In england, lidl or aldi are the cheapest supermarket chains, something to do with having brands from the continent and not stacking them on shelves. they have fewer branches than the "big 4" which include tesco asda and morrisons, competition between thems pretty fierce so there all pretty cheap. i think asda claim to have the most lowest prices but of thoses 3 there much the same.
